AGM Thursday 21 November 2013

The AGM took place in the Clubhouse on Thursday 21 November.  About 60 members attended and a similar number presented their apologies.

The Commodore reported on a very active year past and looked forward to next year, which included hosting the 707 Nationals.  He also underlined the contribution and the importance of the work done by volunteers in keeping the club operational.  He thanked the efforts of the retiring Honorary Secretary, Charles Morton, the retiring Honorary Treasurer, Alastair Wight and retiring Council members, Adrian Shield and Stuart Fowler.

The Honorary Treasurer, reported on a reasonably profitable year, with income holding up and a reduced deficit.

Changes to the general rules were proposed and accepted unanimously.  These formalised the arrangement to have more than one Rear Commodore and to have a separate standing subcommittee for Harbour.  Previously it had been linked with the Sailing Committee.

The election of Flag Officers, Honary Officers and new Council Members was approved with the new line up as follows:

Finally the Commodore thanked everybody for  attending and the bar was re-opened.
