The Club’s Annual General Meeting took place on Thursday 27 November.
Members had been urged to attend this year’s AGM as there were significant changes to the club’s situation in regard to both the Middle Pier and the harbours, East and West.
In the event nearly 60 members turned up and it proved to be a very lively meeting lasting longer than many previous AGMs.
At the end of some spirited debate the Club’s Council was given a clear mandate for moving forward with the challenges that face the club. The rules were also changed to make the club more open. Potential members applications need no longer show a Proposer and Seconder from the existing membership.
A new Commodore, Adrian Shield, was elected, taking over from the retiring Commodore, Mark Primrose who was presented with a Dartington vase engraved with the club’s insignia and details of his stewardship.
Additional Flag Officers and and Honorary officials together with three new Council members were also elected. Full details of these are published on the appropriate page of this site. See Officials 2015
