A couple of interesting events for the cruisers

Long Keel Cup – Sat 7th June
On Saturday the 7th, The Corinthians are hosting the 2nd Edinburgh Long Keel Cup. This is a race for Long Keeled Boats. And the principle criteria is your rudder is attached to the back of the keel. I will get the start times and post them, but the race is round one of the islands to a pub across in Fife, a good lunch, followed by a race back. We do have a good number of long keeled boats within the Royal Forth and would be good to have a number, over and above just Border Maid out – Rawannah, Wee Dragon, Keshti, the Dragons all spring to mind. My crew is otherwise engaged (racing RIBs) so would welcome some crew.

Cruise in Company – Sunday 8th June – 09.30
We need to hatch a plan, but what about a sail across to Inchcolm, or Inch Keith, anchoring and then exploring the islands and seeing the Puffins, Guilliemots and Seals? The boatman is on until 15.00, High water 4.5m at 11.05 and low water at 17.22. For the last cruise in company we had three yachts and a couple of Ribs – would be really good to get a bigger number out.

Many thanks

Cruiser Class Captain
