The end of July saw our annual Festival Series, an open event for keelboats and dinghys.
Regrettably, there was a drop in the number of entries this year (is is the time of year or the weather or are there just too many events on the Forth?) In fact there were no entries in the dinghy class, apart from PIP, Terry O’Brian’s International 2.4mR, which had to be upgraded to be a keel boat with a very big handicap:
The conditions on the first evening, of very strong winds may have put off the dinghys, but it made for some interesting racing. The second evening saw more measured conditions but on the final night, the winds had dropped away considerably giving a very different “playing field”.
