The annual Royal Eastern Regatta took place on Saturday 12July with a very disappointing turn out.  The weather did not look great and the winds were expected to be light and it is holiday time, but even so!

There were two fast boats, the Dragons Kismet and Kestra and one slow boat, Peak Flow.

Despite the conditions the race officer, Donald Cameron, did manage to get in three races, with two laps for the first two races and one for the last race, when paradoxically, but perhaps typically, the wind picked up.
