Cruise in Company Sunday 21st June 2015
Seven boats took part in the cruise in company, including one new boat to the club. Although this was the second cruise in the handbook it was the first cruise out on the water as the first was cancelled due to bad weather. The weather on Sunday was interesting with quite a strong westerly and some gusts giving us good speeds across the Forth to Aberdour Harbour where it was nice and calm. We were greeted by Harbourmaster Dick Drummond who made us all welcome. There we settled down to have our refreshments and enjoy the lovely spell of late afternoon sunshine.
The sail back to Granton was very good and stayed dry despite some dark clouds. Coming towards home the wind increased and speeds were between six and seven knots. Everyone seemed to enjoy the Cruise in Company including the new members.
Looking forward to the next Cruise in lots of Company on Sunday July 12th.
Happy sailing Kenny MacKenzie.
