East Coast Sailing Festival 20th – 23rd August – Port Edgar

East Coast Sailing Festival  20th – 23rd August – Port Edgar

This year East Coast Sailing Week has been renamed as the East Coast Sailing Festival and in addition to all the usual racing activities there is a muster of cruising boats and in particular classic and traditional boats, with all sort of shore and sailing based activities.

More details are at ecsf.org.uk, but the basic programme is:

  • Friday 21st August
    Gather at Port Edgar
  • Friday Evening
Join in with the fun and socialise in the Festival marquee and in the PEYC clubhouse.
  • Saturday 22nd August
Cruise in company to Burntisland harbour for a great lunch provided by local caterers “Food for thought” who specialise in quality local and fair trade food. There will also be a bar available.
  • Return to Port Edgar Saturday Evening
Hog Roast followed by a dance in the Festival marquee.
  • Sunday 23rd August
Weather permitting we hope to try to create a “Sunflower” of boats and then disperse.

Port Edgar Marina has very kindly offered berthing at £10 a night to yachts taking part in the event.

We will cruise / stern chase up there on the evening of Friday 21st.
