Tom Wilson, the race officer,  has been in touch with the MCA Aberdeen and will send them a list of starters, along with the SI’s, on Thursday evening after the start.

David Bruce, the Commodore of OSC, and Brian Kynoch of Orkney Marinas have been informed re the numbers expected.

We hope to post status updates during the race.

As some boats will not be at Granton until nearer the start of the race, Tom has arranged to do the safety checks on the Fisherrow boats on Tuesday evening and the PE boats on Wednesday at 1800hrs. He hopes to do the rest on Thursday, or before if they are available.

Many of the crews will be arriving at Granton straight from work. The Skippers Briefing is at 5.30pm and we expect boats will be arriving from 4pm. We have two Orkney boats coming that will be here on Wednesday, weather permitting.

The Bar will be open from 4pm, food will be available: soup, rolls and paninis with various fillings.

The first start is 7pm and second 8pm.
