Jubilee Cup (first attempt), 23rd May 2015

The race was started in very light airs, but the forecast was for a change of wind direction and strength.

The wind was due to turn to the west and fill in, which it eventually did, but much later than  hoped. So the Race Officer (John Robertson)  had to abandon the Jubilee Cup race when it became clear that no-one would finish within the 3 hour time limit. The 3 leading boats didn’t hear repeated radio announcements and continued to sail the course! Fortunately they did get back to harbour before the boatman finished.

We flew the Abandon till another day flags (N over A) so you can resail the race at another time if you want.
