We have had the usual full programme of Racing this year with 29 race events plus the One-Design regatta giving a total of 91 race starts of which 22 were specifically for cruiser class. It is to be hoped that we can extend the participation of the Cruiser Class next year. Fortunately this year only 5 planned races were lost to the weather, though there were some very challenging conditions for some of the races.
The number of club boats racing was maintained at 20 with 7 of these being Cruiser Class boats.
Turning events plus boat starts into detailed numbers means that we had 369 boat starts giving an average number of races per boat at 18 starts(though the range was 1- 43).
The average number of boats per race start was 4 (1 in slow fleet, 5 in fast)
Results for races can be accessed from the Race Results 2016 page.
