Wednesday 21 November 2018 is the centenary of an extraordinary event on the Forth. Just over a week after the Armistice, the German High Seas Fleet surrendered to the Royal Navy. There were about 440 warships  (370 of these were Royal Navy and Allies) in the Forth! This was the only time the Royal Navy and German Navy had met at sea after the Battle of Jutland 31 May – 1 June 1916.
