Racing plays an important role in the club. There are several active classes, including Dragons, SB3s and International ‘H’ boats. As well as a series of combined handicap races there are many regattas and individual races. Evening points races are on a Wednesday and Thursday nights, tide permitting, and generally start at 19:00, all other regattas and club races tend to be at the weekend. Notices of race are posted on the club notice board and made available in Downloads - Race Notices. Race results are also posted on the club notice board and on the bulletin board of this website. When racing it is up to the skipper / owner to ensure that they are covered for racing risks on their insurance and that adequate safety provisions are made for their crew.
