Open Day – Push The Boat Out 2020
Sunday, May 24 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
As part of the RYA’s Push The Boat Out initiative, the Royal Forth Yacht Club is running a free open afternoon on Sunday 24 May. Join us at our club house in Granton Harbour, just to the North of Edinburgh city centre. Experience the thrill of being out on the water. You will be able to have a go at sailing in yachts, take a trip on a power boat, or just come and have a chat, enjoy the view from our club house and see what is going on. There will be something for everyone, young or old. No tickets, equipment or experience necessary, just turn up between 13:00 and 17:00, and we’ll help you find the right thing for you. Please remember that it can be cold on the water so bring warm clothing and ideally a waterproof coat. Food and refreshments will be available.
If you like what you see and want to join the club, we will be offering a 10% discount on new memberships for anyone who signs up on the day. Members will be on hand to tell you all about the activities on offer at the club, including cruising, racing and social activities. You don’t need your own boat to sail with us. We have plenty of members who regularly need crew and a couple of club Squibs which can be hired by our members.
If you would like more information, or you would be interested in running a stall at the event please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
While every care is taken to ensure this information is correct, in the event of any unexplained discrepancy, the Sailing Calendar takes precedence over the events calendar.
