Open Sailing is your opportunity to try out sailing with the Royal Forth Yacht Club. There are 6 ‘open sailing’ evenings planned for each season and these are intended to give people a chance to sail on a cruising yacht to see whether sailing is for them, and to encourage new members to the club.

If you would like to attend on any of these evenings then just turn up with warm and waterproof clothing at 17:30 on any of the listed dates. Life jackets will be provided.

The 6 dates for the 2019 season were: June 6th, June 20th, July 4th, July 25th, August 8th & August 22nd. Dates will be added for 2020 at the start of next season.

The scheduled ‘Open Sailing’ season has now ended, but all those who have attended the events throughout the summer are being invited to a final event on Thursday evening, 5th September (17:30 hrs at the clubhouse). This is an invitation only event, so if you have attended any of the open sailing events throughout the summer you should have received an invite. If you would  like to come along on September 5th, please do RSVP to let us know you are coming. Although the open sailing season has ended we always like to encourage, at any time, participation in sailing. So if you wish to sail, and to be a part of the Royal Forth Yacht Club, then just get in touch with us. You can click here to email us directly.
